New ash Dieback Support Package Recognises Commitment To Building Healthy Forests

That's according to Minister of State Pippa Hackett.

The new support package for farmers impacted by ash dieback is in recognition of wanting to build healthier forests across the country.

That's according to Minister of State Pippa Hackett, who announced the scheme alongside Agricultural Minister Charlie McConalogue.

The package, worth €79.5m will see €5,000 paid per hectare to farmers affected by the disease in their trees.

Senator Hackett says the Department will now the necessary arrangements in place to follow through on the actions:
