It received planning permission for the development in March.
A developer has been issued a 'warning letter' over a housing project in Laois.
Glenveagh Homes Ltd was granted planning permission for a 195-home development on the Dublin Road in Ballyroan last month.
The planning enforcement section of Laois County Council received a complaint in relation to the project on April 18th.
The assigned planner recommended last week the registered owners and developers be issued a warning letter for an 'alleged unauthorised development.'
That consists of but is not limited to the laying out of hard standing haul road or roadway, fencing and site works at the Dublin Road, Ballyroan, Portlaoise, in non compliance with seven conditions of approval being granted.
Laois County Council says warning letters were issued to 16 parties last Friday.
The developer has four weeks to respond, and a decision will then be made on what actions are need, if any.

In a statement to Midlands 103, Glenveagh Homes Ltd says:
“We are aiming to start building these 195 new homes in Portlaoise as soon as possible – we have initiated enabling works before construction starts and are committed to ensuring all planning conditions are met.

We are planning a comprehensive programme of support for and engagement with local community groups, schools and sports clubs, to contribute positively to the wider Portlaoise community.”
